KABUL: The cabinet members of the Islamic Emirate including the Prime Ministers were called in for a meeting chaired by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Hebatullah Akhundzada in the southern province of Kandahar.
The meeting lasted for three days and was held without media coverage.
A spokesman for the Islamic Emirate said that the meeting discussion included the procedures of the government departments and measures to overcome to economic crisis and improvement of government departments.
“Attracting national and foreign investment, appointing the Mujahideen (Islamic Emirate members) to government departments, preventing the drug business, and reforming the administration, were discussed,” he said.
The Islamic Emirate’s Spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid on Twitter denied the rumors about the changes in the top leadership. He made the remarks in reaction to the reports published by some media, suggesting 1st Deputy of Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has replaced PM Mullah Hassan Akhund.
