KABUL: Three people have died and 44 others injured after a fire tore through a gas station in Kabul, health officials said on Friday. The blaze broke out on Thursday midnight in a pump station along Abdulhaq square and spread to nearby buildings.
The Health Ministry confirmed the fire killed three people and injured 44 others.Wahidullah Mayar, spokesman for Ministry of Public Health, said six of those wounded are in critical condition.
Womenand children were reportedly among the wounded in the blaze, said Mayar.
According to witnesses, the fire began shortly after midnight at a gas station near Abdulhaq Circle and quickly spread to a nearby cement block apartment complex.
This comes after an electronics market caught fire in Kabul’s PD1 a few weeks ago.
