AT-KABUL: Three insurgents were killed by their own mine blast in northern Kunduz province.
Three insurgents linked with Haqqani terrorist network were killed by their own mine explosion in Chahardara district of Kunduz last night, said Provincial police office in a statement.
Statement said that a mine maker linked with Haqqani network named Mawlawi Ghazi planned to plant a mine in roadside in Chahardara district which went off and killed the mine planter along with his two colleagues.
The killed insurgents planned to plant the mine in roadside in Qala Zadran area of the district at 11pm, added statement.
Chahardar district is one the most insecure district of Kunduz, where Taliban time to time attacking Afghan forces check posts as well as lay mine in roadside, which mostly kill innocent civilians.
