AT-KABUL: Three senior commanders of armed Taliban killed during operations in Farah province.
“12 armed Taliban including three senior commanders of them were killed following a clearance military operation in western Farah,” said a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior.
Statement said that the operation was carried out jointly by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in Bala Bulok district of Farah province.
Weapons belonging to the armed militants were also seized during the operation, added statement.
Statement said that in the meantime, several villages cleared from armed Taliban and the security operation still continues in insecure villages of Bala Bulok district.
The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have stepped up Counter-Terrorism operations to suppress the insurgency activities of the terror groups, underlined the statement.
