KABUL: The Acting Minister of Higher Education of the Taliban Islamic Movement, Abdul Baqi Haqqani downplayed the schools’ graduates of the past 20 years as of no use.
Abdul Baqi Haqqani made the remarks in a meeting with the university lecturer in Kabul.
Haqqani called for the appointment of instructors who can teach the values that would be useful for the future of Afghanistan.
Haqqani earlier called those who hold Master’s and Ph.D. degrees less valuable than the students who graduated from seminaries (madrasa).
This comes as Afghanistan has made significant progress in education and modernization during the past two decades, despite a high level of insecurity across the country. Thousands of students succeeded in the overseas scholarship and made honorable achievements for the country.
