Kabul: Torkham Border, a key border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan, has reopened for passengers and trade transit.
The Torkham border was closed on Sunday evening of transit for travelers and goods.
The Information and Culture Department of Nangarhar province announced in a statement that this crossing was reopened at 9:00 am (local time) today, Thursday, by the authorities of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
According to the department, currently passengers and trade convoys can pass through this border.
Meanwhile, a team of high-ranking Pakistani Delegation, on Wednesday traveled to Kabul and discussed security issues with Afghanistan Deputy Prime Minister, including Torkham border closure.
The closure of the border crossing between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been causing losses to traders of the two countries.
According to Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry, many commercial trucks stranded on both sides of the border.
