AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least two children were killed and three others were wounded in restive Kunduz province on Wednesday.
The chief of Imam Sahib district, Imamuddin Qurishi, told media that the Taliban planted explosive device under a bridge went off around 10:00 am and claimed lives of two children and injured three others.
According to sources the children were shifted to a nearby hospital; however, there is no report about their health status. Taliban insurgents are active in the province. Earlier, they took control of different districts. Despite repeated calls of the international humanitarian organizations, militants are using improvised explosive devices (IEDs). IEDs are responsible for most of the civilian casualties.
