KABUL: Two Taliban militants were killed after a bomb they were planning to explode against civilians went off prematurely in eastern Logar province.

Two militants were killed, when their own mine detonated in Mohammad Agha district at around 9:00am on Monday, said Logar Police Spokesman Shahpoor Ahmadzai in a statement.

He said that the killed rebels were involved in making mine when it was detonated.

The militants planned to kill innocent people by the mine, which it went off and killed themselves.
