KABUL: Two militants affiliated with the Taliban terroirs outfit were killed as their explosive device went off in southern Kandahar province, officials said Sunday.

The two Taliban mine planters killed in Piro Qala area in 4th PD of the province, Nasratullah Rahimi spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said.

According to him, the militants were busy planting roadside mines in area that went off and killed both the of them “Taliban planters”.

It is worth mentioning that Taliban insurgents are mostly taking landmines as a tool to target Afghan and foreign forces, but mostly civilians are the victims.
