AT-KABUL: Two students and a teacher were killed when a rocket hit a school in the central Logar province on Sunday, said an official.
The Ministry of Education in a statement said that the rocket hit Topak primary school in Baraki Barak district of the province. The rocket attack killed two students and a teacher, and wounded four other students of the school, the statement added.
The wounded persons have been rushed to hospital.
This comes at a time that the minister of education has recently termed insecurity as a big threat before education in Afghanistan.
Reports recently surfaced that several schools in Pol-e-Khomri, the capital city of Baghlan, have been closed due to rocket attacks.
