KABUL: The U.S. Forces in Afghanistan have conducted airstrikes on the Taliban hideouts in the southern Kandahar province.
The U.S. Forces Spokesman, Sonny Leggett said in a tweet on Wednesday that the strikes were carried out in Spinboldak and Zhari districts of Kandahar within the past 48 hours.
The Taliban confirmed their fighters inflicted casualties in the strikes, saying that the strikes consider the violation of the U.S.-Taliban peace deal signed on February 29th, 2020.
