AT-KABUL: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent with cooperation of the UAE’s embassy in Afghanistan distributed relief items among160 needy families here on Sunday.
Head of UAE Red Crescent, Saalem Ahmad Saalem Malih, said that the UAE Red Crescent resumed its humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan and assisted 160 needy families in Kabul city.
He said that the relief item included a bag of flour, 10kg sugar, two kg tea, three kg salt, 46kg coal, five liters of cooking oil and two blankets.
The UAE Red Crescent would continue helping needy and vulnerable people in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan in the near future, he added.
Beneficiaries voiced pleasure over the humanitarian aid of the UAE Red Crescent and asked other international and local organizations to follow similar steps and help the needy Afghans.
