AT-KABUL: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent office in Kabul with the cooperation of the UAE embassy, distributed the meats of sacrificed animals to the needy families in Kabul on the Eid days.
The meat was distributed to families, following direction of UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaid Anahian, vice president Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Almaktom, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zaid Alnahian and Head of the UAE Red Crescent in Sarobi district of Kabul during Eid days, the embassy said in a press statement.
Some 1167 families benefited from meat distribution program.
The distribution of meat was run by UAE Embassy in collaboration with locality government.
The meat was distributed to widow women and poor families in the district.
Beneficiaries voiced pleasure over meat distribution project run by UAE embassy and they asked for further assistance to needy families in future.
