Kabul: The members of the United Nations Security Council in a joint statement condemned recent suicide attack in Kabul, and reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms constitutes one of the most serious threats to peace and security in Afghanistan, and the world.
The council members underlined the need to hold perpetrators, organisers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism accountable, and bring them to justice.
The UN Security Council has condemned the attack and called it a heinous crime targeting civilians in Afghanistan.
On Monday March 27 an explosion occured near the Afghan Foreign Ministry that left at least six people killed and several wounded.
Hours after this attack, the ISIS terrorist group identified a person named “Khorasani” as the perpetrator of the attack and took responsibility for it.
