AT-KABUL: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah, met with the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the International Decade for Action “Water for Life” conference in Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan the other day.
Ban felicitated Abdullah on peaceful transfer of power in Afghanistan and called on the incumbent government to bring reforms in different areas, including rule of law and electoral system.
The two leaders also discussed a comprehensive action plan to suppress militancy. They shed light on Afghanistan’s relations with regional countries.
Ban urged Afghanistan to lend its support in adoption of sustainable development goals, which are expected to set target for the future international development.
