Kabul: Roza Otunbaeva, the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), in a meeting with the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of the Islamic Emirate, Shahabuddin Delawar, emphasized that those Afghan politicians who have returned to the country should have a role in the government administrations.
Today UNAMA tweeted that all Afghans who have returned to the country should be able to contribute to the development of Afghanistan.
UNAMA has added that during this meeting, there was a discussion about the mining sector and developments in “Commission for Contact with Afghan Personalities”.
In this meeting, the United Nations representative in Afghanistan has also emphasized on protecting the rights of all Afghans who return to the country.
The Taliban Minister of Mines and Petroleum is also in charge of the commission for contact with Afghans abroad, and so far many former politicians and officials have returned to the country by the invitation of this commission.
