Kabul: Members of Afghan Business Council in the UAE discussed economy, banking, healthcare, food, women’s education and work and other issues in a meeting with “Thomas West”, the US representative for Afghanistan.
“This meeting was attended by the owners of private banks in Afghanistan, businessmen and head of Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines as well as the International Finance Corporation World Bank Group representative,” according to the statement released by the Afghan business council in UAE.
Haji Obaidullah Sadrakhil, the head of the Afghan Business Council in the United Arab Emirates asked Mr. West to continue the dialogue with the Afghan rulers and remove sanctions from Afghanistan’s banks.
According to Mr. Sadrakhil, the US special representative for Afghanistan has assured cooperation and finding a suitable way to solve the problems faced by the businessmen and other citizens of Afghanistan in this meeting.
