Kabul: US Special Envoy Thomas West held discussions with Indian officials on Friday regarding the future course of action in Afghanistan.

“Great to return to India and engage with esteemed colleagues on the future of Afghanistan,” West shared on X. During his visit, he met with Foreign Secretary Kwatra and Joint Secretary JP Singh, emphasizing India’s significant contributions of humanitarian aid and medicines to Afghanistan.

West also discussed the needs for 2024 and explored the development of a unified diplomatic approach to support shared interests. The announcement of West’s visit to India and the United Arab Emirates on March 19 underscores the collaborative efforts aimed at supporting the Afghan population.
