AT News Report-KABUL: Seven members of a single family have been killed after their vehicle plunged into a narrow ditch in the premises of southern Khost province, Provincial Governor Spokesman, Mubariz Zadran told Afghanistan Times.
“The unpleasant incident was occurred on Thursday evening when the family members were traveling through a Corolla model car, and as a result of some negligence of the driver, the car plunged into a ditch,” he said.
Moreover, he added the rescue teams reached the spot of incident where they made efforts to save them, and pull out the car from the small brook, but unfortunately, the passengers were drown into the water and lost lives.
Traffic accident is increasing as recently a member of the Wolesi Jiga or Lower House of the Parliament, Parveen Nuristani has died of a traffic accident on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway. She was a medical doctor by profession.
Moreover, on July a total of 14 passengers were killed and 26 others wounded as their bus turned turtle in the northern Baghlan province. The passenger bus was heading from the northern Mazar-e-Sharif city towards Kabul, but due to reckless driving turned turtle in Kilagi area of Dushi district.
