AT-KABUL: Officials in the eastern province of Kunar say that a plan to manage water there had put a positive impact on the people’s lives.
Provincial governor said Friday that the plan helped farmers to irrigate their lands up to 40 kilometers along the Kunar river and made job opportunities for the locals.
Farmers in the mountainous province say that the Kunar river flows freely to Pakistan, while the lands on the river banks remain useless because of lack of water.
