KABUL: Network of solar system project has been inaugurated in eastern Nangarhar province to supply clean and drinking water to 260 households.
The projected opened in Kunar district of the province, where local officials said the UNHCR spent 2.8 million Afghani to build a network of solar system for supplying potable water to the residents.
Akbar Sher, an official at Provincial Governor Office, has appreciated the UNHCR’s project, calling on the localsto get access to clean water and also make efforts for its protection.
In addition, Chief of Best Construction Company, Attaullah Mojadidi has said the project has built in 100 meters deep well, 12m3 reservoir which contained 25,000 letter waters.
Shareholders and locals established a protection committee to oversee and protect the network of solar system and the water supplier project.
