KABUL: The National Security Advisor, Hamdullah Mohib has warned to demolish the gate if anyone tries to build at the zero point of the Durand-Line. Mohib made the remark during his visit to eastern Afghanistan, following a report that Pakistani military has established a gate in Durbaba district of Nangarhar province.
Mohib also met with officials and local elders of Kunar province, where earlier the Pakistani military fired rockets and killed and wounded around 10 civilians. According to the reports, the rockets have targeted the provincial capital Assadabad and Sarkano district.
“They (Afghan security forces) have been ordered to defend each inch of this soil,” Mohib said. “If anyone builds a gate, we destroy it and will defend our people.”
In reaction to the Pakistan military rockets, the government had submitted a complaint letter to the UN Security Council. However Islamabad has not stated any comments in regards by far.
The government has always accused Pakistan of playing dual policy towards Afghanistan and not staying committed to its promises. Pakistan, the neighboring country of Afghanistan, also accused of providing safe havens to the militants who have been fighting the Afghan government for years now.
