KABUL: Ahmad Wali Massoud, a former jihadi figure accuses President Ghani of poor governing and management, calling for government support of what he said “national resistance against Taliban”.
He said Monday that the poor management would lead the country to a crisis, adding that the situation would have been in favor of Taliban if people didn’t take up arms to stand against their advance.
“The situation would have been critical if people didn’t resist in west, central and southern areas. Resistance needs to empower.”
The former jihadi figure asked the government to let public uprising forces to defend their respective areas.
He accused Taliban of attacking people, saying that the government paves ground for them with its strategic retreatment.
This comes after Ghani’s aide Fazl Mahmoud Fazli’s statements who had earlier said in Balkh province that the mistakes made by irresponsible armed men should not be repeated in some districts. Fazli had said that anyone who wants to defend the country and help security and defense forces, should join the army and police.
