Kabul: The World Health Organization has said that it has accelerated the delivery of essential healthcare services to the people of Afghanistan, due to vulnerability of most Afghan people during the winter.
According to the report of this organization, since the beginning of this year, more than 32 thousand Afghans were displaced from their homes.
In this report, it is stated that due to uncertain livelihood condition and the spread of various epidemic diseases such as severe diarrhea, measles, dengue fever, malaria and COVID have also had a negative impact on the people of this country.
The World Health Organization added that, in October, cases of dengue fever were recorded in Nangarhar, Laghman and Kabul provinces, and there were reports of more than 2,000 cases of measles around the country as well.
According to the report of this organization, due to the living conditions of the people and the inadequate health system, an increase in respiratory diseases should be expected in the winter season.
This report adds that in order to speed up the service delivery process, this organization has trained more than one hundred managers with the aim of guiding vaccination plans in 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
