AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A 12-year-old suicide bomber surrendered himself to police in northern Sar-e-Pul province after he succeeded to escape child suicide bombers training camp in Pakistan.
The surrendered boy said that Pakistanis had trained him to carry out suicide attacks in Afghanistan. “I underwent 3-month training in Pakistan,” he divulged.
Provincial Police Chief, Abdul Qayoum Baqizoy said the boy was kidnapped and shifted to Pakistan where he was trained by the Pakistanis to carry out suicide bombing.
The boy escaped suicide training camp in Pakistan and managed to reach Sar-e-Pul to surrender before police. However, Baqizoy didn’t provide further details.
It merits mention that a week ago another 12-year old suicide bomber had handed himself over to police in northern Faryab province.
He had also escaped a Taliban camp. After surrender the boy had informed police that several other underage children were also in the Taliban camp and being trained in terrorism.
